Naan pizza has become our Friday night ritual since 2020 started. Noam & I just love them; it’s fun to make & to experiment with various ingredients. Whether you’re single, in a relationship, living with roommates or have kids, this is a recipe that works for everyone! As each naan makes its own little pizza, you can adapt it to each individual, changing cheese & toppings according to your taste.
I recently shared how I’ve been cooking every night for almost a year now, without ordering takeout once! That doesn’t mean that I feel like making a big recipe every night – the fact is that some nights I don’t feel like cooking or spending a lot of time in the kitchen -that’s called life and it’s normal- and that is why I like to come up with recipes that are ready in no time.
Now I know that pizza on naan breads may seem odd and I’ll probably insult many Italians here BUT think of it more like a super cheesy toast. I could have called them naan toasties but I liked pizza more 😉

Naan Pizza - Pesto & Artichoke
- 2 naans
- 1 pack of mini mozzarella balls
- ¼ cup basil pesto, homemade or store bought
- 1 small jar of artichokes
- a few basil leaves, chopped
- salt & pepper, to taste
Set oven to 200°C.
Lay the two naans on baking paper on a baking sheet.
Spread the mozzarella between the two breads. Top with pesto and artichokes. Use a couple of teaspoons of oil from the artichokes jar to drizzle over each pizza.
Add salt & pepper to taste, squeeze some lemon. Transfer to the oven and bake for 10 minutes or until cheese has melted and edges are crispy.
Remove the pizza from oven and top with fresh basil & enjoy!
